Notes:

Included in brackets are players the author believes to be a dark-horse to win the award. These are players that aren’t necessarily favorites, but we believe have a good shot to be in the conversation. Note: Nikolai’s NL CY dark-horse prediction is Alex Wood, not Travis Wood.

The Nationals were unanimously predicted to win the NL East, and the Dodgers to win the NL West.

Brendan Rodgers appears to be the unanimous selection for the 1st overall pick of the 2015 MLB draft, but a name to watch is Dillon Tate: the young starter is flying up draft boards this spring, and with Brady Aiken and Michael Mantuella falling victim to TJS, a team that prefers to take a starter may end up grabbing Tate top 5.

The Blue Jays’ own Daniel Norris is mentioned by all four authors to be in the AL ROY conversation, and Kris Bryant is the unanimous pick for the NL ROY. Unfortunately, despite big acquisitions, their respective clubs aren’t as well-regarded: Toronto and Chicago are only chosen for a division once (both by Nikolai), and are fringe Wild Card choices beyond that.

The choices for prospects who could put their name in the top-50 conversation were very diverse. Nikolai’s choice, Nomar Maraza, is already a top-100 prospect by most lists, but he believes strongly in Maraza, saying:

“I think Nomar Mazara has a 4 digit OPS and enters the #1 conversation.”

We look forward to a fantastic season, and hopefully a very successful one for the Blue Jays.
